Quem me conhece sabe que há alguns anos atrás nunca deixaria passar uma oportunidade como esta, que moveria montanhas para poder ir nessa viagem. Mas agora estou serena, mais velha, mais calma e acolho a vida de braços abertos. O que tiver que ser, virá...

Este é mais um post que estava ali em draft há vários meses.
É um lugar muito especial. Tivemos a sorte de fazer o último Tour guiado do dia (demora mais de 2h) mas para quem gostar de História vale bem a pena.

Burghley House ( pronuncia-se /ˈbɜrli/ ... nunca hei-de entender a fonética neste país!) foi por diversas vezes escolhida para servir de cenário a filmes como  The Da Vinci Code, Pride and Prejudice, ou ainda Elizabeth: the Golden Age. À semelhança de outras Casas Senhoriais, é ainda habitada pelos seus descendentes.

Ainda não foi desta que congelei mas pouco faltou! Quando eu achava que o Inverno tinha ficado para trás, e o calendário marcava a Primavera, nova série de nevascas e temperaturas negativas! Muitos comprimidos e chá depois, (não faltei um único dia), o blog sofre com a minha falta de paciência.... e havia tanto para não deixar em branco. Como o Dia Mundial da Poesia e o facto da M. ver um dos seus poemas publicado em Livro, ou sobre o facto de fazer 4 anos este mês que nos mudamos para esta casa e como o tempo nos veio provar que foi o melhor passo. Ou ainda da memorável ida a Londres, num encontro super animado com a familia (9 no total) e do excelente restaurante italiano que nos acolheu em Piccadilly, recomendado pelo concierge do hotel. A vida por aqui continua... em de Branco!
